Frens I've Known Dis Sem

realized i haven't been blogging abt something abt my sch life, sth i wanted to share all this time but end up din. aniwaes, dis gonna b a long and draggy description abt ppl i got to noe (in engin) dis sem. i haf a pic of my classroom for ee2005, the Die Die Die room in E4-04-04.

i knew a new fren (dinno a single fren last sem, apart from ppl i knew from proj, ie. frens = ppl i knew by juz being w them, and not out of obligation to tok) called chee wee. oh yar... name sound like the Jerk, but he isn't. confirm plus chop. even if The Jerk had undergone plastic surgery, he muz haf undergone personality change too. maebe a knock on the head.

but seems like a lot of ppl like to call themselves zhiwei. rem the guy who went to DB cos of me indirectly? ho chee wai == he zhi wei.

he was from from ee2005. sits on my rite. v helpful guy. either he din realize i was making use of him to catch up w the lect i missed, or he is a VERY nice guy. too bad i'm not gd enuf to help him in return.

on my left was dis Loo guy. as at time of print, i'm still trying to find out his name. u see, i'm intrigued by him. yes, he was gd-looking, and had a nice bod, but he has a weird voice also. everytime he was called to ans qn, my heart cringed. (i noe, i haf squeaky voice too, but i dun hear myself mah...) and even tho his handwriting was gd, he dun seem to b catching up in studies too, from the replies he made to the tutor. lol

okok... cos he looked v perfect on the outside, i couldn't make myself to start tokking to him. u see, i become a hum-ji when i see guys more well-endowed (juz found out from oxford dict dat 'endowed' means w permanent income, not wat i tot it meant: blessed w better (physical) qualities) than me, cos well, i feel inferior. it's like a peasant tokking to a king. given the choice, i will not want to do so.

digress: it was the same w me and chee wee too. cos he's TALL, u see. we dun greet each other (and still dun... dunno y. it's a culture we developed) and started tokking by asking each other tutorial qns (we still dun tok much other than dat).

aniwaes, so i was afraid to start a conversation, which mite make me seem dao. but he dun seem to reject me leh, else he would haf seated himself elsewhere (PERHAPS cos seats r limited, and/or perhaps he din wan to sit w the PRCs, which makes us like-minded ppl. ha...).

OH YAR, the 3 of us sit in the last row, only the 3 of us, all locals. unfortunately, the tutor LOVES to start asking qns from the back. but frankly speaking, i learn a lot from dis, and was kept alert for all tutorials.

everytime he signs attendance, i try to see wat his name is (like me, he dun label his tutorials and papers). the most i've seen was dat he was Loo. next time, i will implore the attendance list and solve the mystery.

i guess his great bod comes from dragon-boat related activities bah. cos he came in one day carrying an oar.

aniwaes, another guy i've known, but only tokked recently is called seow zhen liang. shd b local, or malaysian. he attends the same 2 tut w me, ee2004 and ee2005. but cos he sits w the PRCs at the start of the sem and looked like a mugger, i din ~~bother~~ get to interact w him much.

few wks back, he pontang ee2004 cls and after dat, he became late-coming and started sitting w me in ee2004 in the 'late-comer's corner'. dat was when we started to tok. juz from the past tut, i found out dat he has been pontanging lect too (asked him where the lect ended and he dinno). he hasn't been doing his tut too, and was struggling like me for the cls quizzes at the start of each lesson. dunno y. i see myself in him: ON at the start of sem, slack now...

den another is called haojie, whom i got to noe from my labs. dunno y. lab sessions r bidded individually, dat is, we dun belong to a fixed 'lab gp', but there were 3 of us who were in the same gp for both labs. dunno y. so dis guy who sat w me in the 1st ee2005 lab sat w me in the 2nd lab session. he v easy-going, those kind who act a little ah beng, but is super frenly.

the other guy, i dunno his name. but he also quite gd-looking (DROOLz, now understand y i flunk dis sem? can't concentrate in cls...). okok... he acted like a loner. u see, haojie has a fren who will come from the other lab to kajiao him in the midst of lab, like the PRCs who haf a network of their own. but dis guy, was like me, loner. i saw him on few other occasions in campus also all by himself. one thing i'm impressed was dat he looked all comfortable at the idea of being alone, whereas i'm all uneasy abt being by myself.

now, there is actually a gp of indians (nationale) who are in the same 3 tut gps as me, the additional one being prog. but, like all foreigners, they haf their own social click and r self-sufficient. u see, their gang is like 7-ppl strong. quite big...

for mkt, there's my gp members. they're all i knew. frankly speaking, for the 2 assignments dat we did, i feel v sucky. i feel we're all so sucky. but cos i gave up dis sem oredi, i made no xtra effort to try to rite the wrong. went along juz as long as i dun fail can oredi. as i mentioned earlier dis sem, they're all in their final yrs, but they dun seem like they r, professionally. i dunno, since my feelings for them r -ve, and subjectively, i dun wanna criticise them as if they did me wrong.

note* the above comments was made b4 the 2nd presentation which we got full marks. still, it reflected how bad i felt b4 dat.

aha... finally. yay! a gd conclusion to my sem. the most lousy sem so far.

p/s: as at 4 Nov, i've known the name of the Loo guy as Kok Wee. turned out dat i was left-wee-ed and rite-wee-ed, everywhere wee-wee... okok... juz pretend u din see the italics if u tink they're NOT farnie. and yar, i'm so sorrie it's mostly guys i'm describing, cos gals r RARE in EE, and the onli ones r PRCs (which was y i din say gals r GEMS in EE).
